Today I am thankful for my wonderful father. He drove me to school early this morning and was there to pick me up when I finished at 4pm, and I so enjoyed getting to spend even those short, sweet moments with just him, talking and enjoying each other's company. He even swung by Starbucks on the way home to get coffee for me, and one to bring home for my Mom. He's quite a Dad. I'm so blessed and thankful to have such a thoughtful, steady, calm, faithful, and loving father, and I hope each day to grow more like him. :)

30 Days of Thankfulness - Day 1
For quite some time I've been trying (and failing) to think of how to make an astonishing return from my very prolonged leave of absence, bursting with new ideas, good intentions, and a cheerful forgetfulness to update for a year at a time, but nursing school has kept me in such a constant state of busy or brain-dead that I haven't been able to pull myself together to organize anything worth posting. To ease myself back into the habit of blogging, I'll save my more ambitious blogging ideas for later and take a few brave, wobbling baby-steps to get my sea-legs once again (to mix a few metaphors). November conveniently contains thirty days and Thanksgiving, so I'm challenging myself to write about one thing I am thankful for each day of this month, even if it's only a brief sentence or a photo. This was such an encouraging and fun task when I tried it two years ago, and by the time December rolls around, perhaps updating this blog more than bi-annually won't seem so daunting. One can hope. :) Here we go...
